Any Maui Deals for January?

Does anyone know of any hidden deals for Maui Golf? I.e. discounted rounds through Costco, or any other 3rd parties? I am just aware of the regulars (Golfnow, HawaiiTeeTimes.com, Teeoff.com) and was just wondering if anyone has any hidden gems out there? Our CAD dollar still sucks, and they aren't giving away free rounds at Wailea .. lol

I am going to Maui this month as well. Looks like Kahili has a better rate of $79 on HawaiiTeeTimes, but a note says 'repair work being done'. Any ideas what is going on there? I played the Dunes last year and it was a real challenge; some whacky holes but in great condition. We stay in Kehei, so Maui Nui is a couple rounds for me and $89 on GolfNow is the best I've seen, but there are some Hot Deals available. Really want to play the 'new' Plantation, but at $329 I can get 2 rounds at Wailea Emerald or Gold, so that's probably a better use of my $$. Aloha!

Yup. Have a couple condo rentals in Kihei and when I come always hit up the game. Haven’t been this year with Covid and quarantine requirements. Heard they are now allowing visitors as of September if you present a negative Covid test within 3 days before flight.

No this was pushed back. Right now that's Oct 1 at the earliest but will probably be pushed back further. Have to quarantine for 2 weeks in Hawaii if you want to come and would need to either stay at hotel or sign at least a 6 month lease somewhere.

This crap is getting ridiculous. Not sure why I even have to file GET/TAT taxes with no rental revenue or even come without staying a month to cover quarantine requirements. What's the states unemployment rate right now? Has to be over 50% easy, probably peeps living on the beach in tents and homelessness everywhere now.

How does one go about joining the game these days? Just call pro shop and ask where/when it is?

I would normally check with Maui Golf Shop in Kihei, as they have all the ins and outs. They are closed with Covid, but call and Cliff can point you in the right direction. Kapalua is on reduced times now, only doing 8:00-11:30 tee times with reduced staff, a few other courses closed. Kahili is shut down, probably wont reopen. They still playing Kapalua and Kaanapali a couple days of the week in "The game" Dunes had a game on Thursdays, but been hit and miss, id call in advance of when going.

If looking for a place. I have a 2 bedroom fully furnished condo in Kihei that's available for rent.

The 14 day quarantine for visitors to Hawaii is still in effect. There is an exception for Maui County for Trans-Pacific travelers though. You need to get tested for Covid by a "state-approved" tester and have written documentation that you tested negative. Unless they modify or drop the restrictions, you'll need to sit in your hotel for 2 weeks before you play golf, go to the beach etc.

Well aware of the traveling rules... I am within the exception and already have my COVID state-approved test scheduled.
