Tokatee bound

Headed up to Tokatee in the morning. Mid 80s and Tokatee sounda like a perfect day.

I was there the last 2 days. Such a fun course and love the feeling being surrounded by mountains but a 2 1/2 hr front nine that was backed up on 10 got old quick.

Course is in great shape.

It was about 3:40 today. Waited on front, but back played faster.

Why does it back up so much? Cant be too busy, surely. Or do plenty balls get lost in the rough?

Not really sure why it gets so backed up as they are on 10 minute tee times. I've only played it twice and both times I had some waiting at the tee box, but finished 4 hours or under. The course is generally plenty busy as it is not open year around and is a real treat to play with the view, location, and playing conditions. The course is difficult if you can manage your greens.

From what I could tell, it was a combination of some older golfers who were slow and some not very good golfers who didn’t understand timing?

The group in front of me just did a lot of little things that added up. Waiting while 1 looked in the woods for his ball, 1 guy writing something on his scorecard after every shot (of something in his cart) he would hit the ball them sit in his cart and scribble something done putting him 1/2 the fairway behind the others, constantly taking clubs out and putting them back and walking to the cart (only a couple feet) and grabbing a new club and just looking for lost balls.
