Launcher Ti 460

Opinions Please!
Since it is the demo day season, I am looking for honest opinions on the Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 driver. I know it is loud but if you can compare it to other driver you hit I would appreciate it. Looking for info on distance, feel and I already know its loud. Also, is it worth the $250.00 its priced at. I thinking about picking one up.

Thanks in advance!

I had the comp. Your right it is a fantastic driver. I traded it for a G5. Nice driver also but it didnt work for me. I guess I was just going to try the Ti 460 this time. Maybe pickup another comp later. By the way, what do you really think of the Ti 460?

I've got a Ti460 that I picked up in December. This is a good driver, no question. The head looks very good behind the ball too. I just really like how it looks and feels. It is loud, but most titanium 460 cc heads are loud. It is very similar to the previous Launcher. I've hit both and couldn't really tell much difference. The "new" stock shaft seems to be better than the "old" gold one. The "new" Launcher is painted blue instead of grey. Cleveland says that they thinned out the crown and moved 15% of the weight from the "old" Launcher. It really is a good club. Long, forgiving, and well made. Get your numbers right on a monitor before you take it home and you will like it. Most guys looking to upgrade over the "old" Launcher are looking at the Hibore because there is not really that much improvement in the Ti460. With the prices where they are at, the "new"

Launcher is a great deal. It's getting lost in the Hibore craze, that's all.

Well. After this discussion and looking at both the Comp and the Ti 460, I got the Comp. It is a better driver! I feel for me it is definitely better than the Ping G5. This is my 2nd comp of the year already. I am going to do my best to stay with this one. But you know how the sickness of club ho'in is.

I have the first generatin Launcher 460, how does this compare to today's new technology? Is it worth updating?

In a word, YES.

By thinning the crown they created much more discretionary weight to move around the head creating a much more forgiving driver and more boring ball flight characteristics.

However, for 50 bucks more, I would recommend considering the Launcher Comp. which is far superior to the Ti 460 and the Hi-Bore (which is proving to be a major dud).

I tested this club back in December when I was testing for Golf Magazine and I really thought this club was super long compared to other drivers. It has a very hot face, but the reasons I went with the TM r7 425 is the forgiveness. It isn't that the Ti460 is not forgiving, it just isn't as forgiving as some other drivers. So my problem was distance or accuracy? I chose to favor the accuracy. All in all, for the price it is a great deal and extremely long.
