New club/ re tip the shaft/ or replace it

I bought the new ZL Cobra driver. I had a chance to play a couple of rounds before winter set in. I love the head, but the stock shaft is too long,and whippy for a guy that fights a hook, and the trajectory is too high. I have been playing a Ping G2 with graffaloy Prolaunch blue.

I have two options. The first would be to have the shaft shortened at the tip. This should make the club play more stiff and bring the trajectory down some. The second would be to reshaft with something else. Any suggestions.

I have been on a launch monitor 2 times. Indoors in the winter my swing speed was 95/97. Outdoors in the summer it was 107/109.

I can't see why Cobra made a stock driver at 46". Most likely so they could claim it's "their longest driver ever."

When I first got my G10 it was 45.5" and felt all wrong, so I was always choking down on it. I pulled it and replaced it with a Proforce V2 and played it at 44.25". It was perfect.

What's the stock shaft?

It is my advice to stick with the shaft that works. I just ordered a new Proforce V2 after much unsuccessful experimentation.
