PGA Superstore selling Pro V golf balls for $39 dozen

FYI, the PGA superstores in Mrytle Beach is selling new Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls for $39.99 a dozen. Not sure if any of their other stores have them on sale or not.

I was in the PGA Superstore in Plano last week and they had NXT Tour logo overruns for $14.99 a dozen. You had to sort through the bin as they were mixed in with NXT Extremes and and DTs. Still a bargain.

Golf Galaxy in Fairfax had them for 38 and change yesterday. Wasn't a sale either, looks like they just are permanently marked down. It was interesting to see they cost the same as the Nike Ones, and Cally Ix's now. No reason not to play them if the only thing holding you back was the 5 dollar difference.

You sure it's not last years ProV? I know I've seen the older version for 37.99 at both Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith

Was at the PGA store today in Atlanta and bought a dozen at 39.

Titleist has brought the price of ball down and rumor is that they are purposely dwindling supply. My store is running out at $39/dz and we are supposed to drop again.

 

While the prov1 series is a great ball, a 5 dollar price drop won't mean a thing to loyalist of the other companies.

2007 model is the same as current version. And no it was 38 and change for the 2007 model.

I had a similar experience at the GG in Fairfax. I got a $2 off coupon in the mail and decided to try some 2008 TaylorMade Red LDP's. They were marked with an everyday price of $37.99 instead of the usual $39.99 everywhere else. They even gave me an extra $2 off for the coupon. I was quite surprised.

2007 model is the same as current version. And no it was 38 and change for the 2007 model.

 

Sorry, I didn't mean last years....I meant the 05-06 model.

Saturday, 6/7 I went into Dick's Sporting Goods in South Atlanta to buy some TaylorMade TP Reds.

 

They had Pro V1's for $34.50 per, limit 3 dz.! It was the current model with the line on the side.

 

I asked if Titleist was about to come out with a new version, the guy said no, the PGA Superstore had them on

 

sale so they had them on sale. I bought some AND he gave me a free sample sleeve of the TaylorMade balls!
