Whistler Conditions

Looking to play in Whistler next Friday. Appears the options are Whistler Golf Club, Nicklaus North and Fairmont. Anyone have input on recent conditions? Is one course typically preferred over the others? First time visiting the area so my knowledge is limited. Thanks in advance for the help!

They are all premium courses. Towns north and south, Squamish and Pemberton have great courses as well. I usually play Nicklaus North when I am there.

All are great courses. I went up there first week of the season. Don't be afraid of the drive to big sky it is well worth it. First 5-6 holes at Fairmont are an absolute grind but after that it gets better. The scenery at big sky and Fairmont are unreal. We had one bear laying on his back scratching his stomach as we tees off about 10 yards away on one hole at Fairmont. You could play any of the courses up there and be very impressed. I personally like Fairmont and big sky slightly more but all are worth the trip.

Heading to Squamish to visit the inlaws and the new niece tomorrow. Anything to be aware of this time of year, such as aeration schedules?

Planning on playing Squamish and then making a couple day trips up to Whistler/Pemberton. Big Sky is the only must play on my list and am trying to decide between Whistler/Fairmont/Nicklaus North for the other round. Prefer Palmer to Nicklaus so kinda leaning towards Whistler.

Played Whistler and Big Sky in May. I think both had only been open a couple weeks at that point. Greens were soooo slow and shaggy, especially Whistler. Was like putting on backyard grass. I'm sure at this point both are in great shape though.

Keep us posted. Considering heading back up in a couple weeks.

Squamish is absolutely delightful. Some of the best greens I’ve played on this year. Course is super lush and generally well conditioned.

Only complaintS would be that it was a bit wet, but that's to be expected with all the rain this week and some uneven lies in the undulating fairways.
