Changing saving and re-using Taylormade pure roll insert from DA-62 white smoke

I have a Taylormade itsy bitsy spider Japan model that I'm refinishing and I need a new insert for it. I'd like to stick with the pure roll insert from Taylormade and I can get one out of an old DA-62 white smoke putter but I'm not sure how to safely remove it. There's a video I found of someone removing an odyssey putter insert by boiling the putter but I'm not sure if the material is the same as the odyssey insert so I'd like to know if that's a good way to try it or if anyone has a better idea. Any ideas are greatly welcome!

Just spit-balling here, but could you not take an Exacto knife/razor blade and cut around the edge lines and then gently pry it out? I'm not an expert by any means, but seems MOST inserts are held in place by some type of soft setting epoxy/caulk.

if it's double sided tape.. you have to heat it up to soften and weaken the tape.. If epoxy was used.. you probably need to drill it out..

Yes, this!

DO NOT BOIL IT. It will distort the insert. As the above said, use a hobby knife, cut around the outer diameter and then gently pry up, moving equally around.

The boiling technique is the worst advice ever. Ask me how I know...

I've done plenty, and run Spryevo inserts, as well.
