Teryllium T22 Vs GSS/SSS Feel

I love my T22 Newport 2 and the extremely soft feel it provides. Looking at buying a timeless SSS most likely and was hoping for someone who has putted with both the T22 and a timeless to offer a feel comparison.

Sound = Feel.

So if you're looking for something soft in the SSS you'll want a mid to deep mill face.

So are you saying a smooth faced putter would feel the firmest?

Generally yes but there are more factors that go into sounds than just face milling like the depth of the cavity behind the face and the overall weight of the putter. So if the cavity is on the deeper side it will give more of a click or firm feeling if you have a smooth face, if the cavity is shallow there is more weight back there and will give a softer sound.

So don't get sold on one metal being softer than another, if you putted with 6 different metals with various milling with ear plugs in you wouldn't know the difference. But if it's something you want go right ahead and buy it just use the info to get what you want from the putter.

when I got fitted for my artisan putter two years ago; one of the last things I did was try - deep, medium and light milling.

To me there was not an amazing difference so went medium, to my dad there was a huge difference, its all about how we register it in our brains.

That's probably the one cool thing about Artisan is you can try every last option they have to get that exact putter you want.
