Yep. This is what happened. I put up that 3 wood last week. I went to my PM box and started to reply to the messages in the wrong order. From most recent to the oldest. I told "iheartangels" he could have the thing and then found out 10 minutes later as I ripped through all my PM's that "rednumbers69" sent me a PM first. I them PM'd iheartangels back saying sorry for the mix up but you arnt getting it. So I felt guilty and then sent him a 5 wood instead. He said that he would send out something that matches up with a brand new Mizuno F-50 5 wood.

 

That is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. :D

No matter what we call it, I'm glad to see this idea took off beyond my hopes and imagination. I started this thread with a couple sleeves of HX Reds -- now we're at $100+ fairway metals. This bears witness to what a class group of individuals comprise the golfwrx community. Thank you everyone, and let's keep it up.

 

Also, someone in Europe should consider adding a Euro-only offer to this thread in the interest of including our brothers and sisters in arms from across the pond (while keeping shipping costs within reason).

I'm going to throw these out there, if anyone wants them PM me your addy and I'll toss them out to you. Sorry they aren't any Cleveland wedges, but could be of some use to someone.

 

2 Yellow Brush Tees. 1 new, 1 used for a round. Just don't like them as much as my normal ones.

 

PS - I can just toss these in a padded envelope and send them out right? I just want to make sure they get to the person who is interested.

1) You must not charge a single penny, not even for shipping.

2) Within 24 hours of receiving your item in the mail, you must post the item you wish to offer on this thread.

3) The item you offer must be of comparable value as that which you received.

4) The first person to PM you his/her address and ask for your item is the new owner of the item you are offering, and you must ship your item to that person within 48 hours.

5) In the interest of fairness, US addresses only, otherwise the shipping charges can get out of hand.

 

We've been placing our trade items before we've received our offered item. And we must ship and/or give away our items in the aforementioned timeframe. We have to get it right or this won't work.... I have to admit I was getting frustrated because I hadn't received my putter yet, but thought, "Hey, you're getting it for free -- so calm down, missy!" :D But seriously, don't put up your trade until you receive your item, right arkstorm?

I understand what you're saying; however, I thought it was supposed to be golf stuff you have lying around that you don't use anymore. That could be anything.

 

If you’re on this site reading this post you’re a golf nut. And as such, you have old golf stuff that you don’t need and will never use. Let’s pass it on to someone who wants it…

 

This brings up a good point. What if the item you have and the item you received isn't "comparable"? Do you not ask for the item to begin with if you can't offer up a comparably valuable item?

According to the rules, if an item has high value (Mizuno F50 fairway), then everything after that must be equal or greater value. I think the intent should be to get rid of golf items no longer wanted and not worth/interested using ebay. Just trying to do something nice to help out a fellow golfer and maybe get some good karma in return.
