Sweet Pick up! Ping Hoofer with Nike Swoosh!

Wow, this one got out of hand in a hurry.....

 

I can vouch for seeing this bag in person (ok not this exact one, but a Nike branded Hoofer) about 10 years ago or so.

 

Useless Trivia: When the Swoosh Empire signed Tiger and was building their golf brand in the late 90s, it was widely speculated that Nike might opt to purchase PING, rather than start a clubmaking business from scratch.

 

There's a thought for ya - Tiger swinging some big old Eye2s :beach:

 

Not much of a thought as Tiger played the big old eye2s (which really aren't that big) as an amateur---do a search many pictures of him swinging them. Also played with a ping putter.

I found this really cool Ping Hoofer bag with a Swoosh on it. This thing has to be very rare and from before Nike started producing golf equipment I would guess.

 

Has one seen anything like this or know where it might have come from? Maybe the Nike Tour?

 

Nice find, looks like something from a sales meeting...for those of us that are old enough to know this...products are co-branded just for sales events sometimes...

 

Either way...it looks like it is in good condition, might be good for a couple of rounds or your extra clubs :(

It showed up today and looks good!! It is storing my extra J33 CB's right now, and doing a wonderful job :( :)
