That new putter is awful, my .02. For a guy who doesn't stray far from conventional, Im surprised the first equipment change in year would be his flatstick.

Is Westwood playing one of the new Ping Ansers this week at the Open? I never saw a close up on Saturday, but his putter didn't look like the Redwood Anser he has played for the last few years.

Sure was. Watched him hit them in coverage today. Pretty sure he's still hitting his G10, although most of the Ping staffers are using the new G20 (as well as that stunning amateur, Tom Lewis).

His ping answer putter different from retail? Does Ping make the tour guys putters out of GSS or better softer steel like Cameron does? I cant tell by looking at it. Just wondering if the Tour guys are playing what we can actual they our hands on?

i thought it was a g15 driver he was hitting? all i could see was the orangish sole.
he was defintely using the new anser putter! awesome although his putting was awful.

I know he still uses the g10 driver, i15 fairway and i10 irons. I think he uses the new prototype anser putter they're gonna come out with soon, that looks sweet.

I'm guessing it's one of the new Anser line. Since it's not available at retail yet they'll call it a proto or something. Makes sense given that he used to bag a Redwood.

The orange is that suggests it's a G10.
