So I was wanting to order from lost golf balls and I started to think and a question popped into my head, where do they get their golf balls from?

If anyone has some info on where they get them from or how they get them etc that'd be great
Not sure exactly where they get them. But, I've ordered multiple times from them and I have been happy with the AAA quality balls. Great customer service too...

Vast majority of their balls come from water hazards. They pay independent divers 8 cents per recovered ball...that's the main reason why I don't buy used balls anymore...I just don't know how long they've been sitting in water. And I didn't like the fact that even their AAAA and even some AAAAA balls had a yellowish tint to them...plainly obvious they've been sitting in water for some time.

While I'm not nearly good enough of a player to hit my shots exact yardages, I do believe that water-logged balls will have at least SOME perform deficiencies, and if that distance loss is more than 5-7 yards, that can totally be the difference between a green in regulation or dumping into a greenside bunker. If I knew that every ball is going to be short 5-7 yards, I can adjust for that, but there's just no way of telling what each individual ball will do or will not do. My game and swing is not nearly as consistent as I would like...I don't want to have to add worrying about whether my equipment or ball is also inconsistent on top of that.

And besides, I can buy Titleist ProV1 Practice balls for $24.59, which is cheaper than the respective Titleist ProV1 AAAAA balls, so I really don't see the point of used golf balls as a better perceived value...at least imho.

With that said, LGB is a GREAT company to deal with. If you do end up ordering from them, use coupon code "friend" or "refer" for 10% off. And always free shipping for orders over $75...no coupon code required. If you're not happy about some of the balls that you receive, they will go out of their way to make it right.

Doesn't it say on their website? I think it says on the site that they hire divers to go searching through water hazards on courses and scoop up balls from there. Look up threads on here--there's a lot of info on the subject and whether or not it actually affects the balls. I don't believe it does. I've bought dozens from them and I've never had a "bad" ball.

Sorry, forgot to add the link: http://golfballdiving.com/sales/

You can easily trace via Google that company back to LGB...

So I want to save some cash on golf balls and I accept that I am going to lose 5-7 yards which I am not thrilled about so i go out and buy some rocketballz clubs which guarantee me 17 extra yards. I am ahead 10 to 12 yards still.

As far as I can tell, everything is still coming up thrillhouse.
