I got a 23 degree and flat out bomb it every single time. It's not "too round" on the bottom so I get stunning square divots on well struck shots and feel like I have incredible accuracy from 200 yards out. I can't say enough good things about this club.

I have had my 16 degree progold with stiff Ozik shaft for four weeks now and it is astonishing - great flight off the tee and off the deck and it is plenty, plenty long enough as a step down from my driver for short fours adn suchlike. Am definitely going to buy another one or two. Des.

everyone keep on saying the javln fx shaft feels stout
does the regular play like normal stiff shaft?
it is pretty hard to find one with ozik shaft, there is a very big chance i will have to settle with the javln shaft

will i regret it for settling for the javln instead of trying to find the ozik?

You can buy a Pro gold with the JAvelen and send it back to Adams and pay $30 and they will put the Ozik shaft in for you... i just got done doing that.

Ok, so i just got my Pro Gold bak from Adams and went out and played yesterday. I hit it very very well on the range, then got kinda scared to hit it on course. When i swung without thinknig i hit it very well, when i took my full powerful swing i hit it well. When i took a reserved swing i pwould hit it right or with a small fade. Other than that though, this club feels solid, and it goes a LONG way. I think ij ust need to figure out how to hit this thing consistent then i will be very happy. I did hit my 20* about 240 up and over a tree... much like YE Yangs shot on 18 at the championship.... just not on the green. Lol.

I'm looking into getting a 20* Pro Gold with a stiff Bassara shaft. First, what does this shaft perform like? Is the hybrid good out of the rough? Can anyone comment on this please?

Certainly not in a 16 degree loft. I suspect that both the 20 and 23 degree clubs would also be too demanding. I'm off 17 and I could not get the desired height or carry from mine.

just got a used LH pro gold 18* off the bay for $60. I am looking for something with very little to no draw basis and I felt this would be the right club. I hit my 5 wood pretty good but I can only hook it or hit it straight and sometimes you need to have a slight slice.

If this club is easier to hit than my 5 wood and allows me to work it more then it will find a place in the bag very soon

Adams Pro Gold Boxers have been nothing but good to me. I actually bought two Taylormade 09 Rescues and compared them...then ended up selling the Taylormade 09 Rescues and went back to my Pro Gold Boxers. I'm carrying the 20* approx 200-205 and the 18* approx 215-220 ish. They seem to be a slightly open face on them...maybe 1* open (?). I naturally hit thye ball high, so the 20* definitely stops on the long par three greens. These will stay in the bag.

Can't say enough good things about the Pro Gold. I have never, ever been able to hit a long iron very well, so I decided to try out a hybrid two seasons ago. I bought a pair, 3h and 4h, of the Idea Pro models with the By You Proto shaft, and was quickly dissappointed. Could not hit these clubs straight to save myself. I now believe it was probably the shaft. Sold those and bought a pair Callaway Diablo Tour (less offset model). Solid clubs but still too much offset as I couldn't keep from hooking this club. Moved on to the Pro Golds with the Matrix Ozik shaft and BINGO. These club are by far the easiest clubs to hit that I've ever swung. Everything I couldn't do with a long iron, I could do with these clubs. Very very forgiving, super high and long ball flight, great out of rough, off fairway and the tee box. The boxy look was a bit of a turnoff, but about the second time out I held the green from 210 on a par five, I quickly got over that. The bottom line is, these clubs have knocked strokes off my scores and ya gotta like that..........................In fact I'm looking for a 26* 5h matrix, reg. flex right now if anyone has one for sale.

Good hybrid. Have th 18' and 23'. Medium height with penetrating flight. Only thing I don't care for is shape of head. Prefer more traditional shape as opposed to the rectangular shape.

Hey! I just got the 20, 23 and to replace my 3 and 4 Irons V3 adams , i love the ball flight, i can control it better, it goes high but you can hit lower spinners! Which is just what i need
