New addition to the bag o' drivers. Pulled the Throttle and added a DVS 60x to the Cobra Pro D 9.5*. MadGolfer is currently unleashing an ungodly bag of fury on that poor creation.

Also forgot to add some back up clubs (of course).

TI '08 Taylor Made T4 23* hotmelted and 1.75* open rescue on an AxivRed 104x (physical re-bar) that swings a wrecking ball-like E2 swing weight. Sean2 is currently demoing this thunder stick. Other than myself, he's the only other person I've seen hook the thing. Well done my good sir.

Lastly, my old faithful JPX 800 18* on a PX 8A4 tipped .5". Again, Sean2: The Bringer of Pain, barbarian that he is, is also kicking the tires (and hind quarters) of this beauty.

I am enjoying both the JPX and the T4 Eric. Compared to anything I've played/tried before these clubs are terrific.

pps: You folks should see what Eric does with the Super LS he replaced the JPX with. :-)

What's the weapon of choice for tomorrow?

Going with my trusty 9.5* 650/75-x. When I catch one, very little can beat it. It's also the straightest when I don't. Also, for giggles, I'm thinking about using a set of MP53/x100. To top it all off, I'm breaking out some Tour Issue Nike 20XI-Xs. The normal ones are pretty darn long and these are supposedly longer. Whatever. I'll try to take the cover off of whatever is sitting on the tee. Sad thing is that it's no different from my normal strategy. My scores reflect it.

Yeah. Of course I'd like to practice more. It's pretty frustrating when you "used to" be much better. Knowing that you could just pull shots off like they were standard easy shots. They were at the time. Not so much now. Bummer. BUT, a lot of people are in the same boat.

Maybe I just need to watch a few Rocky montages. Then I'll be sweet again. No doubt. DRAGOOOOOO!

I've been pretty happy with the way the Blueboard is playing honesty. I was just at the range today and was going to make a point of comparing the two but I completely forgot by the time I got there. The conditions have changed significantly since I did a real head to head, like it actually got semi warm out in the last few weeks. I think that would favor the 8A4 if anything.

Well, we won by 1 with a -12 59. Chip-in eagle on the final hole. I did manage to take the long drive with a big draw that ended up in the middle of the fairway. Strangely enough, I was sinking putts I don't normally come close to. so I had that going for me. Which was nice.

I don't have a doubt that both montages helped.

So trying something a hair different today for my league. A buddy gave me two wedges. MPT11 with the stock spinner shaft. Higher bounce than I usually play. A 56* with 13* and a 60* with 8*. I knew they were very good, just not sure I wanted to move to conforming grooves yet. These things are pretty cool. Wasn't sure about the spinner shaft. It's fine. If anything, it actually goes further. Weird. Not that I'm looking for any more distance out of anything.

I should know better than to let other people use my clubs without really knowing their game. A guy put a few scuffs on my re-finished 5 wood crown. Not psyched. That AND he thumped me in league. 7-3 (he got 1 for winning). Stupid thing is that I beat him by one on the score card. I gave him 4 strokes. Funny game.

Wow, what a boss. Guy scuffs the crap out of your custom paint job 5 wood and then whups you in your league. I learned that lesson a long time ago, I'm not about that scuffed crown life.

That's interesting with the wedges. I didn't have a very good experience with the spinners, they tended to go straight up in the air on full shots. Just bought a T4 54* with an S300, looking forward to trying it out.

I was worried about the spinners too but was able to pull off some shots. High was certainly not a problem. I had a 50 yard punch under branches but over a bunker and pulled it off with a 60*.

Much like you, I am not about the scuffed crown life. It's no way to live. I may have to move on to the black marker life soon. Straight diesel fuel, son.

And yeah...you don't need more distance. I tried the spinner shafts a couple of years ago, they really didn't do anything for me, but then again, I'm not in your league. :-)
