Anyone tried to catch 10:05 connection in San Fran to Bandon from east coast

Planning trip for early September. The connection used to be later but now only allows 30-40 minutes for connection from New York through San Fran. Has anyone tried this?? I may have to go through Portland instead.

WIth SFO that is waaaay to close. With the potential for ground delays and the like I would arrive a day earlier if you still want to go through SFO.

Another option, which my friend from the East Coast is going to use when we go there later in the year is to fly into Eugene. From there it's a 2 and bit hour drive.

I know getting to Bandon is a PITA for people out east, but it will be totally worth it :-)

For a trip to bandon...I would not take a chance.Frisco is the worst...always delayed.Portland or as suggested eugene is a much better call.

[/quote] Thanks. I've been twice and used the san fran option on those trips. I think I will give Portland a try this time and fly in the night before and catch early a.m. flight to North Bend

The drive down the Pacific Coast Highway from Portland to Bandon is quite scenic. If you haven't driven the coast, I'd suggest it. Timewise, it would probably take as long to drive as to get to the airport, and take the puddle jumper to North Bend.
