14 (Private) Clubs

We all know that the maximum number of clubs a golfer can carry at one time is 14 to comply with the rules of golf.

 

However, if one had unlimited resources, which 14 private golf clubs would you belong to?

 

I realize this is fantasy, but a fun exercise and good for the imagination!

 

Here are my 14:

 

The Obvious:

1. Augusta National, GA

2. Cypress Point, CA

3. The Country Club, MA

 

Local:

4. The Portland Golf Club, OR

5. Eugene Country Club, OR (GD Top 100).

6. Pronghorn, OR (central OR)

7. Pumpkin Ridge, OR

8. Astoria Country Club, OR (coastal OR)

 

Nationally Prominent

9. The Olympic Club, CA

10, Riviera Country Club, CA

11. Sand Hills, NE

 

Personally Interested In (originally from east coast)

12. Bayonne Golf Club, NJ (formerly worked on Wall Street)

13. Sebonack, NY (love Tom Doak courses)

14. Springdale Golf Club, NJ (born in Princeton)

 

Obviously there are no right answers. just fun to think about...missing from my list are SF Golf Club and Pine Valley...may have to drop two to add these....
