Epon demo or buy one head/club

Recently introduced to Epon, but never seen them in person, let alone hit one.

 

Is there someone local to SoCal who has them, or is there a way to get a six iron head I could match to my existing set?

There are quite a few Epon dealers in California and some might have demo clubs. Even If they did sell you just a 6 iron i imagine it would cost in the ~$250 range. They are much more of a niche product compared to your OEM stuff and pretty much every set around is [i]very[/i] custom fitted so its very unlikely you'll find a used single iron for sale.

You can go to fairway golf in san diego. they have many of the jdm stuff built up so you can demo it there. if memory serves you can also pay a nominal fee and take it out to the range/course for a few days. much cheaper than buying one. good luck!

Well, I'm inclined to think that I won't see any gain over my ZO blades.

I built a Wishon 6 iron forged cavity back recently and hit it at the range last night. Can't say as I saw much difference in distance or accuracy. Maybe a Trackman would see something.

I might see a difference with a five iron because I'm really inconsistent with that club, but 6 and above aren't bad.

Dunno.

Fairway Golf sells Epon as well as others. I have family in SD and am born and raised. When I get a chance I hit it up and drool at the curio of all the JDM club heads they have. I have not seen built clubs to demo there though.

Plaza Golf in Torrance and West LA is now carrying demos of Epon and now have Miura clubs to demo as well. I know for certain they have wedges at the West LA store.

People who buy JDM arent looking for significant improvement over USDM stuff....its the specs and feel that seperates them

if your looking for more distance than JDM is a waste of time....buy speedbladez, lol

if your looking for craftsmanship, tolerances, feel and just a really solid iron that few people have than JDM is good choice

epon 302 is my next set I am pretty sure

FYI, Epon has a price control by their Main distributor!

This is to ensure no boot legging and fight between dealers!

Glad I could help ... sort of. Wish I was closer to SD, I'd love to go to it. Have to settle for the Haggin Oaks Demo day, but very few JDM clubs there.
