Looking to buy some JDM wedges, I need help.

Hi, and thanks for any help that you may be.

I am looking to make a little dabble into the JDM market, and I have basically zero experience with JDM. A little background, I am a 0.1 handicap by the USGA. I am between a digger and a sweeper, probably more towards a sweeper. I am looking to get 2 wedges that won't absolutely break the bank, but I don't want anything super cheap. I would prefer forged and I need two wedges. My last set of wedges were Cleveland 588's, 50, 55, 60. Made a bag setup change and tried out the SM5 52* and 58*. Needless to say, I am not a vokey guy. I would think that my lofts should be 50-52 and 58-60. I like to control my spin with opening and closing the club face, and I spin the ball a lot, so I don't need anything that spins the ball a lot. Something that just hops once and releases for a nice foot or so. If you need any more information to help me out, I'll gladly give it.

wedges that are superb jdm, on off, older yammies, miura, sky dream jump, crazy, fourteen..they are just about all forged and special..

Agree with lumberman. The combination of a Miura Y-grind and C-grind is fantastic. You don't say, but what irons do you use? Might help narrow in on your type of feel.

RL....I finally gave up and ordered the HB3. My two iron has been relegated to a really expensive alignment rod. That little hybrid beauty has changed my world. Aerotech Steelfiber - my first one of those too.

Yeah, I plant a kiss on that HB3 at least twice in almost every round. It is design genius. Still use a 2-iron off the tee on a couple of holes at my club though -- the Cally XUtil Proto. Cheers!

miura wb 5000 are an excellent wedge id think for u
they dont spin a whole lot, they are compact and pear shaped and u can get nifty with them.
they look sensational as well.

yururi raw spin way too much

the newer yamaha are to much like vokey. and the older ones might spin too much.

fouteen bascially any model are especially good depending on what shape u like to look at.

yonex ezones are very small thin and razor like , not huge spin ,but for shooting at pins, these take some beating.

toustage x -wedge best all round wedge lat 2 years i think, especially on harder shorter cropped grass
