Honma Drivers?

Recenty saw a Tour World model, TW717 460. Absolutely beautiful design. Anyone have any experience with Honma drivers, or this particular model?

It is a very nice driver. Easy to hit solid, and long as any other driver around.
Face sits square, and shaft is a little bit weak. I have tested both R and S, and liked the S much more for a 96/98 mph swingspeed

Thank-You again. I should have also asked, how was the ballflight. Did you go with a 9.5 or 10.5?

I tried both, best risults For me were with the 10,5 with the S shaft. Good high trajectory and very straight.
Only thing I did not like were the standard japanese small grips

I got the tw717 430 driver.
Upgraded w the 3 stars shaft , really enjoyed the accuracy and the beauty of the club

Only problem is that the matt black colour, which is the real reason that I got 430 instead of 460, doesn't last long... It's hard to explain. I'll take a pic and show u later.

Anyways, no matter it's the 460, 455, or my 430.
U won't be disappointed.

I just ordered the TW717 460 with Vizard shaft. Really looking forward to trying this out. Probably take a few weeks to get. I'll post a review as soon as I can.
Doesn't seem to be too much love for Honma though.

Just got my TW717 455 w/Vizard tc 65, love it so far! TC 65 plays like a di-6, good forgiveness and feel to the head! I got the 9.5 and its trajectory is a little higher than my G30 with speeder 661 that is lofted to 9.5, length about the same, sound and feel of the Homna is way better than the G30!lol

Not with that particular model, but years back, owned a few tour drivers and 3/4 woods. There was a good reason for their considerably higher cost too. My driver and 3 wood 'stock' shafts were made in 'white' rooms, long before all others started, and titanium strings were hand laid the length of each shaft. Lots of time has passed since I followed Honma, but its a name to be reckoned with though out Asia. Made for a different market, and costly; way more than what we in American think is expensive.

Just an update/review of the TW717 460 that I purchased. It's an excellent driver. Great sound, very square looking. Very easy to hit straight, with more of a mid to mid-high flight. Definitely lower than most 460 drivers out there today.
REally great sound to this driver as well.
The only issue would be, it's not the longest club out there. It's respectable, but definitely shorter than some of my other drivers that still make it in and out of my line-up.
This club is very similar in almost every way to my Bridgestone J445.
I've always wondered about Honma, at least I know that apparently they actually do make quality products.

Yes, the 717 and newer 727 lines are all conforming. Interesting that I read my post from 2014 on this driver. Can't believe I wrote that its' not overly long. I must have wrote that prematurely. I still have it, and it's definitely one of the longest drivers if not the longest, i've ever had. I replaced it with a Bridgestone, and it's just a better fit for me overall, but I still bring the Honma on occasion.
