Or if she buys it for me ;)
Nnnnnnooooooooooooooo, no no no no no no no no no no no no. If she does, she'll know exactly how much this stuff costs!
Oh she is already well aware of the costs, she has bought me every club in my bag minus my wedges and putter. :)

Does she have a sister?

Well I woke up to this little treat this morning with freezing rain falling on top of it. Don't you just love living in Canada?? :)

.
We had a few inches of slushy snow just outside of Beantowne. Started out as fairly light and powdery, then wet and heavy, then came the sleet and rain. Fortunately, no icing where I am located. We've had it pretty easy so far this winter but the bottom is going to fall out of the temperatures, relatively speaking. I'm sure it's not Canadian cold. :D

Flippin' cold out now! Had a 'dusting' after the rain yesterday. Might have to use orange balls?!
I say go for broke G64. Might as well put on your orange
Rickie Fowler outfit with the orange bag and driver, too.

You know, brighten up the course on dreary winter day!!

Speaking of team colors, what if you went to a school that had
UGLY colors? Would you wear them anyway? I'm not saying
orange is ugly cause it isn't; but some team color combos are
well......a little clashy to put it mildly.

Cobi made orange wool socks for some of our hunting friends
one year and they loved them. I'm not a hunter since I grew
up at the beach in SoCal but I'm like the only male in Bama
who doesn't hunt. Heck, my best golf buddy is a gun/rifle
distributor. Funny thing is we never talk about it; we talk about
golf,lol.

My minor hockey league and high school team colors where the same, Orange, White and Black(Think Philadelphia Flyers Orange) and my Junior High colors were Grey, Black and White(Think LA Kings Grey) so they weren't to bad :)

Ya, those are fine. Here in Bama we have Auburn with blue
and orange. Those colors look fine for the team but a golf
outfit?? Would you wear orange pants and a blue shirt to
play golf? If you do, bro, please post some pics, lol. :D

I don't have any orange pants unfortunately, but I have sported Jorts and a purple striped shirt with turf spikes :D

Our temperature is so much easier to understand then your guys lol, I always have to Google it when it's in F*. Water freezes at 0* and Boils at 100*, So much simpler :)

Metric just won't take here for some reason. Everyone is just used
to things like miles and yards and pounds. See, you think in metric
up there; but if we went metric we would always be converting in
our heads to what we're used to.

If you go on a diet it's much easier to lose pounds than kilos, lol.

Just think Pigs, no more 300 yard drives, no more 30 foot putts.
How could we American golfers abide such things?

Let's see, Pigs has a 3.27 meter putt. WTF??? Sorry, can't do
that, haha.

Even playing here in SoCal there is still some snow on the courses. Just played and there was snow on 5 holes at CrossCreek in Temecula. Granted, it was in the rough and shady areas, but still... :)
It's hard for me to get my mind around snow in Temecula! I remember,
though, when we lived in Oceanside, sometimes we would drive out
Hwy76 to I15 to go north in the morning and it was a lot colder out
there away from the ocean, but I never saw snow levels that low in
SoCal. What's the elevation there? A few hundred feet, maybe?

We don't go by metric for everything here. I prefer weight in lbs and tonnes, my tape measure has ONLY inches and feet( I hate the ones with cm's on one side), cars are in km's but have a small mph numbers also, temperature I prefer in C. But most importantly, I play golf in imperial, I hit yards and putt in feet :)

Locally, there was snow down to about 300 feet or so locally (Robinson Ranch area) and Temecula is about 1000 feet (1017 at city center). CrossCreek is up the mountains above Temecula on a more north facing slope... about 1150 feet or so.

Not sure where all there was snow down here, but there is a chance Talega in San Clemente might have been cold enough. Same inland from Oceanside on the 74 and 76 highways if I have my numbers right.

Glad to hear all that. I haven't been in your fine country since
about 1999 so I didn't remember if you went all metric or not.

I'm nearly 64 y.o. Been in Canada all my life. I didn't grow up with metric, or do sciences, therefore so I find myself doing a conversion a lot. Especially temperatures, and other weather-related like how mm of rain to inches (that's Vancouver a lot) or how many cm of snow to inches (not common for us locally). My wife grew up in Canada but spent 30 years in the UK, and has more difficulty with metric (temps, kg to pounds etc) than me.

Though cooking is usually in F- 350 degrees etc. I imagine one can change the temperatures to ovens to metric but I don't know anyone who does, but then one would be converting most recipes to metric anyway. The speedometer on vehicles I've seen here in recent years usually have Metric bolder but also MPH for travelling down south. When drivng in the US I'm usually fine with the MPH. But sometimes I've found myself subconsciously go too slow initially at lower speed limits (like 30MPHor 40MPH) as in metric those are slow speeds for school zones, sharp curves etc.

Food is supposed to be sold in metric though at grocery stores usually so much for pound or kg are often both displayed, and depends on the store which price is more prominent. I guess I always do a quick convert in my head that 500g is just over a pound.

Like Pigems and others said, golf is non-metric. Thank goodness. Had a golf GPS a few years ago that decided to set itself to metric. Though it was only for afew holes before I realized the problem and corrected it, the differences were significant. If I ever did play in a country that used metric on courses I'd for sure want to have a GPS or rangefinder set to non- metric to keep straight on distances for club selection, hazard distances etc.

High of 1 F here tomorrow with -30 windchill.
We won't be nearly that low for high temps over the next couple of days, and the wind chill won't be nearly that low. But we'll still be freezing our rear ends off, LOL. I'm always impressed when I see what constitutes a windchill advisory or heat advisory for other parts of the country.

I think windchill advisories here start around -25/-30* C and for heat its around 30/35* C. But it's get really humid here in the summer, like super duper freaking humid.
