Format suggestions

Recommended Posts

I have an end of the year buddy match coming up and am looking for some format suggestions. Bit of background: I'm a 5, my partner is a 14. Our opponents don't play golf but 6-8 times a season. Their estimated hdcp's are 20 and 36. Our first match we did was our alternate shot to their scramble, lots of fun and close. They were 5 up on the front, but we found our rhythm and won 7 holes on the back to win 2 up. As fun as this was, my partner and I would like to play more shots than what occurs in alt. shot. Any ideas of some different, fun ways? Thx in advance

Clearly A.G. You know nothing about formats or this game. I play with 2 guys that play professionally and let me assure you, they'd have nothing to do with your "little match"
if your going to troll Blade, please limit the passive brags. I'm blocking you now so I don't have listen to this anymore. Have a good day

Let them play a scramble with par as a partner and play them in a high/low game vs you and your other buddy.
not familiar with that; par as partner meaning par is worst they can do? How's the high/low work?

Play a high/low game where the low ball is a game for a point that is worth some monetary amount, the high being a point worth some monetary amount. Let them play a scramble and have their partner be par. You can determine the number of shots to give them and both play as scratch.

Example, lets say you and your buddy both went par/par on a hole and your buddies went par in their scramble, there would be no point value to the hole. Lets say all was the same but the scramble guys were getting a shot, you would lose the low ball on that hole. This can be played in 6 hole matches, play the entire 18, you can press making points worth more if somebody get's down on one of the games (we use 2 down auto presses in our game but you do as you see fit), etc. but this keeps things interesting.

Let me know if this makes sense.
im not quite sure I understand it; our low vs their low, our high vs their high. But either way they always have a par. I think I'm gonna get killed!

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
