Okay interested in tournament golf... Now what?

I've been playing near ninety lately, and I'm having trouble dialing in to make the next significant scoring drop, so, I'm wanting to take up (like the highest flight of) tournament golf.

So... How does one do this exactly? I've been playing 6 months, and I thrive in pressure situations, and I live near Santa Monica. Anyone have any resources to look at for making this happen or advice?

Recommend you find a local public course that has a "men's club" and join. There also might be "travel" clubs in your area that have tournaments at different courses.

I too am wanting to start playing tournament golf, my only question is, does tournament golf require staff bags...or does that depend on the tournament...

. Make the commitment to get your short game in order. 1. Chipping and putting well = saved strokes. 2.Get accurate off the tee your caption above your picture says long but not accurate. Learn when to leave the driver in the bag. 3. Dial in your course management play to your strengths and recognize when you are in a situation that dosent play to those strengths. 4. Use your practice time properly don't go out to the range and just flail away make sure you have some kind of shot you are working on. Hope this helps and good luck.
And just a thought don't go to play looking like Rickie Fowler. If you swager in there in all of your pumafide glory and can't break 80 or shoot somewhere around even par the better players will simply laugh at you call you a poser and won't ever want to play with you!
