I jus swung the 915's today on my way home from work. I demoed the new Diamana S+ 60x, the Aldila Rogue Silver 60x, the Aldila Rogue Black 70x and can honestly say of the three, I liked the Rogue Silver best for the driver with the Diamana Blue coming second of the lot. I'm going to go ahead and order a 915D2 8.5* with a Rogue Silver 70x.

I really liked the Rogue Silver even though I kind of wanted it to feel too loose so I'd have an excuse to upgrade to the 125 MSI Silver. The 110 Silver has a very smooth feel throughout the swing and at impact, it has what I would characterize as a controlled kick. It's definitely a very distinctive feel, it kind of reminds me of my RIP'd VS Proto 60TX. The Rogue Black on the other hand has smooth feel with a more pronounced kick at impact, but for my swing, it felt a little loose. Basically if the Silver felt like the Black did to me, I'd have no problem coughing up the extra $155 or so for the 125 MSI Silver. I can't really put my finger on a comparison shaft for the Black, but I know I definitely didn't care for it, and the GG LM numbers backed it up. I was using the less than fantastic GG demo bay balls and was getting about 150 ball speed with the Rogue Silver and the Diamana S+, but with the Black my ball speed was slightly lower at around 147. I imagine that the ball speed would go up slightly with my gamer ball (Nike RZN Black). Both seem to be very good shafts, just have to find which works better with your swing. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the Silver because I have a fairly aggressive transition. For someone with a smoother transition, the Black may be just the ticket.

Is the rogue silver-110/black just the new tour green/blue?

The kick you're desricbing of the black reminds me of the feel of the tour blue. Any insights on the differences between the green/blue & the silver-110/black?

The new rogue shafts look pretty damn good though!

The Rogues aren't replacing the Tour Blue/Green to my knowledge, just another pair of shafts in the Aldila range. If you go by Titleist's chart, the Rogue Silver launches lower than the Tour Green and a whole lot lower than the Tour Blue. The Rogue Black is right between the Tour Green and Blue. I really can't give you anything beyond that as I' haven't swung either the Tour Green or Blue.

i hit the rogue black and for me it launched it way higher than the rogue silver...definitely closer to the tour blue...it kinda reminded me of the old matrix altus lt shaft...

I agree with most guys findings on here, so not sure if I have much more to add, other than to say, when I was fitted on Wednesday for the new Titleist 915, I found the Rogues to have, ( and you will have to excuse all the metaphors) a quite brittle, snappy, light feel, this made both the Black and the Silver quite hard for me to feel in transition. The Black is only subtly different from the Silver, in that it has a very slightly softer tip, it's extremely subtle, but definitely there in the results for me, as I was getting quite a few hooky ball flights with the Black. The Silver was better for me but still, the light, snappy feel of the Rogue Silver couldn't match the solid meaty feel of the Aldila Tour Green. The Tour Green kept my tendency to get quick at the top and in transition at bay much better than the Rogue Silver. The extra weight of the Tour Green 75 probably helped with those traits too, to be fair. I got 1-2 mph more ball speed out of the Rogue Silver 60 over the Tour Green 75, but that's to be expected considering the heavier weight of the Tour Green, but I'll take the consistency and better dispersion of the heavier Tour Green over the Rogue Silver 60 any time. I'll give up 3 yards of carry for better dispersion all day long.

Just FYI, the Rogues are actually a couple of grams heavier than the Tour Green. Tour Green 75 at its heaviest is 76 grams; Rogue Silver 70 at its heaviest weights is 78 grams and the Rogue Black 70 at its heaviest is 75 grams. The Rogue 70 125 MSI Limited Edition shaft is 73 grams. That little of a difference in weight really doesn't count for a whole lot. What you're probably feeling is a different balance point across the different shafts. For example, the KBS Tour V shafts I'm playing in my current irons have the exact same weight as the Project X 6.0 shafts that were in my last set of irons, but because the KBS has a slightly higher balance point, they feel lighter throughout the swing.

No, because, as I mentioned in my post, I was talking about the Rogue Silver 60 up against the Tour Green 75. Having said that, I would agree that even the Rogue Black 70 felt lighter to swing than the Aldila Tour Green 75, mainly due to the probable slightly higher balance point that you alluded to correctly.
