Back yard course

So i was at a friends house today and his neighbor had this awesome little setup in their back yard. There was a putting green up by the house and a sweet little setup down below. I was wondering if anyone on here has anything like this and wants to share pictures. I would LOVE to have this in my back yard!

I havent seen it personally but there's a millionaire in Old Westbury, NY with a full 9-hole course in his backyard. Must be nice.

It's in my five year plan to have something like that. Just purchased 3 acres this year and hopefully will start building on it in 3 more years. 5 years want to have the golf short game area, tennis court/hockey rink complete. I'll post pics then if it all becomes a reality. I'm planning on doing mine with real turf, his looks artificial which is less maintenance but not nearly as cool IMO.

Maintenance and chemicals are highly underestimated when it comes to these types of adventures. It's hard to keep a green healthy with a full time staff let alone by yourself. I think if I were doing this, I would do it just like this guy. I looked into a green but I just don't have the property to justify the expense. My club is 8 min away. I can practice there and let them take care of it.

Yeah I don't have the space for what this guy has but I could totally do the putting green he has. My wife would have to drag me in if I had that whole setup.

I like this. But I ageee. It would be hard to keep me away from it haha also would go artificial just due to maintence costs and time. I would like to have a setup where you could have 3 holes on one. Different putting greens that use the same "fairway" with different sets of tees boxes to make it so you could basically play nine by hitting to different greens from the different tee boxes..... That would be wonderful.

Haha!
Millionaires are a dime a dozen these days. He's obviously a billionaire.

I know the property. It was a old undeveloped piece purchased just a few years back.
It was a buffer between NYIT and OWGC.

That's a sweet setup but agree that maintenance costs on real grass setups are not worth it. To even mow the green you'd have to purchase a greens mower and that alone sets you back at least 2.5k. Add in the fertilizer, watering, weed control, rolling greens etc it gets to be too much.

Pretty close to the place as well. This guys backyard makes everything else look like amateur hour.
