Are there any JDM's out there that are more affordable than Mizuno?

Depending on how "JDM" you feel you need to be, Mizuno, Bridgestone and the new Z series from Srixon all offer the same/similar aesthetics and performance as some of the much higher priced JDM options...

Not necessarily JDM, but definitely not American.

Chuo forges all of Mizuno's forgings in Hiroshima, Japan.
Many pieces are then finished (chrome plated, paint filled, etc.) in China.
US regulations state that the "Made In" country is the origin country from where it is shipped into the US.
Because the finishing is the final stage, it says "Made in China" even if the forging was done in Japan.

As far as the foundry, yes, Mizuno "outsources" to Chuo if you want to call it that, but it's an exclusive agreement that they only make Mizuno products.
Name another "major" OEM that has their own exclusive forging location.
In other foundries it's not uncommon at all to see different major OEM forgings coming down production lines right next to each other.
[/quote]With this being said, I don't even consider Mizuno as being solely JDM. Might want to splurge the extra few hundred and get what your after. The price difference between boutique JDM and off the rack mizz is almost not worth considering. If your looking into JDM, price should only be a small part of the equation.

More popular JDM like Onoff and Yamaha and the like can be bought new in rakuten these days for about the same price as a new set of Mizunos. The yen has weakened a lot relative to the dollar recently

You can get a set of new Vega's for a great price off the BST section here sometimes, where I got mine. It cost me less than a new set of Mizuno's. Never buy them from a retail store or online retail store because those places charge full price. You can also find Vega irons every now and then on fleabay for reasonable prices, new or mint condition. Miura and Epon are top notch as well for JDM but rarely will you ever find good deals on those.

That's what's up, I'll take a look. I wonder how much revenue WRX generates?

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
