I finally got a chance to hit the Egg HD with stock shaft I bought a few weeks ago. I did have some trouble topping it at first! I'm not sure why, but I'm not the best FW wood player either. When I focused on "staying down", I was able to hit it flush. Nice club… but now I'm worried about topping it occasionally...

JDM products feel better or nicer in your hands because of few reasons :

1. Japanese made products usually involved high quality materials, tighter tolerances, and nicer craftmanships.
2. Shorter in length for some golf shafts, thus you feel easier to hit sweetspot. eg. JDM drivers usually 45 inches long.
3. Softer flex, this one is for sure. Regular JDM is softer flex than Regular USDM.

However, the quality of the swing and distance, it depends on the player, not the golf sticks. For examples, Rory McIlroy using USDM and me using JDM, .... heaven knows who is the better player.
