Original VR-S driver vs Covert 2.0

Anyone played both? Looking at stock shafts (Fubuki and Kuro Kage) and interested to hear opinions. I've hit the VR-S but only a couple times and liked the solid feel it has, but looking at new ones on EBay, the covert is actually cheaper.

i'm on my second vr_s driver. i don't like the adapters or the look of the coverts at all. i tried to like them but refuse to hit anything i don't like the look of it. shafts are a big headache with nike drivers but i got a diamana in the one i recently purchased so i am very happy. like you said, vr_s is a solid driver head, a well kept secret imo.

bought a Ping Rapture V1 a week after the VR S...
Rapture smokes the VR S and feel is good.
Regretted selling VR Tour 420cc...fixed shaft
but the Rapture is great! as are stock shafts! And face angle way squarer than on my VRS !!

A lot of people say the made for fubuki in the vrs is a wet noodle. I think the consensus though is its a very nice head with the right shaft. Russell Henley still plays one on tour.

[/quote]I really liked the NDS years ago too. Nice sound, very soild. I still use the headcovers, in all these years I haven't found a better headcover. The VR_S driver headcover is ridiculous. My first VR_S I reshafted and glued the adjustable hosel in place. It was a fairway finder.

Huge fan of the Covert Performance 2.0s. Very forgiving and accurate.

Not the longest driver on the market, but my last few rounds with the CP 2.0 averaged around 76, the previous rounds with the TM R1 averaged 83. I'm in the fairway much more often.

Same goes for the fairways.
