Putter Loft and Lie measurements - most accurate?

So I am almost certainly going to order a new custom putter, and have no idea what the one I am playing is at right now. What is the most accurate machine to measure this on, and who has one?

 

The model I want to copy is a Byron Morgan 006, and I bought it secondhand, and it looks like someone adjusted it after it left the shop.

Im using Mitchell Tour Gauge for putters

Loft on putters is a question of angle of attack on the ball vs speed of the surface.
Slow greens needs more loft at impact than fast greens.

Depending on the players natural stroke and AoA, i use 2 to 4 as static loft, and then the player can adjust by changing ball position if he want more or less than normal for the actual put. (move the ball forward for more loft at impact and o-posit)

That machine looks like the machine that some of the big chain golf stores locally have. Does it require some skill to get the right measurements from an existing putter, or is it pretty idiot-proof?

Does the Mitchell tour gauge measure the face angle relative to the sole only?
If plumbers neck has been bent, does Mitchell gauge also account for this?

Putters are measured relative to shaft angle, not the sole.

Any task in club making require both knowledge and skills, so its not that hard to make it wrong if they dont know what they are doing. To "copy" specs on loft from one putter to another should only be done if offset is equal (more offset = more loft at impact)

I would be going to Byron Morgan for the putter, and the copy would be made from one of his putters, so I presume he could mimic the original relatively easily. The problem is I'd need to get the specs from the one in my control, and liquidate that one first to have the funds for a full on custom from him.

ie I putt with shaft vertical, sole not flat on the green.

I would not bend a plumbers neck to reduce offset,(change putter) but in the machine we fix the face against a 90* wall, and then we measure on the shaft both loft and lie angle, so on a putter loft is the relation ship between face and shaft.

I would not bend a plumbers neck to reduce offset,(change putter) but in the machine we fix the face against a 90* wall, and then we measure on the shaft both loft and lie angle, so on a putter loft is the relation ship between face and shaft.

At some point I think I decided I had enough putters.

I wanted more loft, so I used my bending bar.
