Gloire F Driver

Any other fans of the Gloire F driver out there? Just got mine in February and absolutely love it. Probably one of Taylor Made's best clubs. Too bad no one state side will ever get a chance to really experience it.

got mine F 11with SR flex shaft last month, set to 9.5 and I can hit it very easy, sold my SLDR next day.
the club is 46" long, 3/4'' longger than my SLDR, only tested it at indoor range, can't wait to
see what I can do outdoor with this lovely driver.

the only concern I have is the spin, have to try it outdoor. will get a 65g stiff shaft to try later.

I got the F model late last year shafted with a Speeder. Super Driver. I have the ceramic insert one as well. Launches very high, i think I will need to adjust it down to 9.5...

I tried one and liked the head but couldn't find the right shaft for it.

the stock GL3300 SR-FLEX is 45" long, replaced it by N.S PRO REGINO S65 and cut it to 44.5", using a Winn AVS V-17 LITE grip (only 28g), the SW still near D3.5--D4. [color=#282828]Launches lower than GL3300, huge improvement on my over cooked draw, can still manage my fade as usual . need to see the spin rate on trackman later next week.[/color]

The new model is Forged Titanium and has a solid metallic sound. The Ceramic insert model kind of reminds me of the old persimmon in sound and feel.

Thanks for the input. There's something I like about these but in reality, I think they're just too big for me to play as I prefer sub 460cc driver heads. Are they particularly long?

Long as in distance or as in shaft? My Gloire F is 45 inches long I think. Standard length is 46 or so.

As far as distance goes it is as long as anything I have hit. Wants to go straight for the most part. I think all the drivers go relatively the same distance given the COR limits. I think the shaft as it relates to launch and spin has more to do with consistent distance than the head.

If you like sub 460, I have heard good things about the new Honma 727 series. Particularly the 455S, it also comes in 430..

thx for the input on the gloire. yes, the honmas are tempting for sure, esp the 430cc...shaft options in those can get expensive tho!
