Need Help Determining Value

one of a kind 009's and Don White grinds

I am hoping you guys can help, i have finally acquired my final set of irons and putters and wedges. I need to determine a value for insurance purposes. I am lucky enough to not have to pay for my gear, but am not at the point where i get unlimited everything. My hope is that you guys can take a look at my irons post here

putters are two 1 of a kind 009, mid-slants w/ hand welded necks, Beach slot, and 3x black w/ pistol grip and For Tour Use only headcovers.

i cant seem to get the headcovers up so dont worry about it. but any info on replacement value of putters and irons would be great

Best thing to do for the putters would be to check ebay. They seem to be a pretty good gauge for the prices of most Camerons these days.

does $4500 seem reasonable? Ive checkd out ebay and here and there are ones that have some similar properties, hand welded neck, beach slot. But for all my searching i cand find a combination on hand welded neck and beach slot. And i have never found andy 009's with the slant neck.

 

As for the irons, a club pro friend of mine said that they would be 10,000 to to buy that service from Don?? i have no idea, i have heard of his sets going for 5-6, and these again are 1 of's as best as i know, plus the 2 iron and wedges.

If the guy who did you grinds, is the same guy who does all the macgregor irons, then I might be able to help you out on price. I was told last week that I could buy a set of the M 675's and have them ground by the same guy that does the grinds for all their tour staff. The only thing is that it would cost quite a bit. He told me to get a set of M 675's done, that it would be around 2000.

cool thanks, those irons are done by Don White. Was that price for just grinding or full custom? Those are a tour issue set that is full custom, you can see the offset is bent out, the are bright chrome and have radius grinds on the short irons

Are those midslant 009s??

yes they are midslant 009's. One of a kind to my knowledge.

 

I'd say $2800 - $2900 each.

If you ever need the cash I know about 50 guys that'll buy those midslant 009s.

$4,500 for both seems more than reasonable...

 

The market is a little soft for 009's right now, a LOT have been going in the $2,000 range. I'd say these are worth $2,500 - $2,750 each.

I know you aren't interested in selling the putters, but if you ever decide to sell one, please let me know.
