How should I go about it.

The modest course I belong usually keeps turned in clubs at the managers office for an undetermined period of time. If no one claims the item, eventually it went into a dark furnace room. Last year, all the found clubs were placed in a extension locker room in the cart garage.

I went through the clubs last year. No real gems there, but someone donated a nice white Ping bag for a rummage sale (10 years ago), and it's been sitting since. I took the Ping bag, along with a couple wedges and putters. Nothing of note except a Warrior lob wedge. Rusty and forelorn, when cleaning the head, it seemed it had hardly been used. The shaft, however, looked like it sat outside for a decade. I replaced the shaft with a good one from the same stash, and have been using it since.

Pretty good wedge.

I periodically go through the lost and found at the club I work at. We've had whole sets turned in that were never claimed and the owner had to be sought out. Such is the case it would seem when dealing with a preponderance of senior golfers. In one instance, I returned a club that belonged to a fellow I played with periodically when I recognized a hybrid 9 iron of the make and model he played. It turned out he wasn't even aware that he was missing the club!

The policy at my club has been that after a suitable waiting period, any unclaimed club usually get recycled into a mixed rental bag. At our open house back in April all the lost and found items were spread out on display in the special events room for claiming, so they were pretty much free for the taking at that point. Talk to your clubhouse manager to see what the club policy is regarding lost and found.

My problem is LOFT -- Lack of friggin' talent

Not really, because they aren't necessarily up for adoption. Someone lost them, and should have the chance to get them back. Not everyone plays 3 times a week, so it could take a month to realize the club is missing sometimes. (Just because it's an expensive club doesn't always mean it gets used every day.) I feel its the clubs option to put together a mixed set for rental or to "liquidate" after a period of time to help pay for the club employees winter party.

[/quote]We have one club here that holds them for more than a year and then the pro sells them off reasonably priced and the proceeds go to some children's charity. Most clubs here including mine hold them for at least a year because this being a tourist area and all you know. Believe it of not I have seen people come back a year later and claim a club. Now lost headcovers and stuff they will hold on to for a while and put them in a big box after several boxes they get thrown out I have 2 clubs that call me to haul them off the great ones I sell to a guy that sells them on E-Bay. But lately in the last year or so I have not gotten any really good ones. I think some of the tourist golfers play only one time a year and on that last round do not realize they have left a club behind until vacation next year

I obtained a MacGregor M-75 in a 7 iron and it was given to me by the owner of a golf course to fill in a set. Unfortunately the rest of the set are M-85. The Head is the same but the shaft on the M-75 has a softer Dynamic step on it. The only way I could get it to work in the set is remove the shafts and reinstall them so that the progression of the shafts work together. It's gotta be a winter project because those dreaded pins take time to remove properly.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
