Those are Genuine Wilson Top Notch Johnny Miller Signature Custom Irons. Manufactured from 1976 to 1980, 2 iron to pitching wedge. I've still got a Wilson 1950's Sand iron in my vintage bag. Great find...

So instead of making a new thread I just edited this one does anyone know of its possible to get old clubs like this reshafted with newer shafts?

Thanks guys

Sure it is. My question is why do you want to?
Reshafting old clubs can be relatively easy or a huge pain in the butt. It depends on a lot of things... Hosel pin or no?... Taper tip shaft?... Pressure fit?
Reshafting is going to be at least somewhat expensive, or worse. Are you wanting to play these and the flex is off? If so I would recommend hitting the thrift stores and looking for a vintage set with a better flex for you. If it's a case of club length you can extend what you have much cheaper than replacing the shaft. The only reason I can see to replace the shafts is the set has a great deal of sentimental value to you and you want to game them. Otherwise replacing the set will probably be cheaper than reshafting unless it's very straight forward, you can do it yourself, and you have the right shafts sitting there that you got a great buy on.

All Forged, all the time.
The Sets that see regular playing time...
67 Spalding Top-Flite Professional, Cleveland Classic Persimmon Driver, 3 & 4 Spalding Top-Flite Persimmon Woods, TPM Putter.
71 Wilson Staff Button Backs, Wilson System 3000 Persimmon Driver, 3 & 5 Woods, Wilson Sam Snead Pay-Off Putter.
95 Snake Eyes S&W Forged, Snake Eyes 600T Driver, Viper MS 18* & 21* Woods, 252 & 258 Vokeys, Golfsmith Zero Friction Putter.
2015 Wilson Staff FG Tour F5, TaylorMade Superfast Driver, 16.5* Fairway, & 21* Hybrid, Harmonized SW & LW, Tour Edge Feel2 Putter.

I am going to be the Devil's advocate here but open minded. Depends on if you are going to front line game them then I say absolutely have them "blueprinted" and tailored for you. If you cant do the work yourself find you a compentent fitter. Now I am not really familiar with Wilson products so I do not know first hand if they are taper tip or parallel. Now if you are going to vintage game them for kicks and giggles maybe do as some suggested find another set with the shafts you want. Now I reshafted my 1980 Mac VIPs but I am able to do the work myself and the shafts were pullouts new but pullouts. The reason I reshafted those is because I have had them and played them mostly since 1990. I knew the frequencies on those shafts and they were 355 taper tips. I built those to front line game. the reason I did this was because I have gotten older and those Brunswick 7.0s had gotten to be too much for me to hit. But first suggestion would to have some one if you cant do it pull one of the shafts and see what you have and go from there. Probably one of the Wilson gurus on here will know what it is without pulling them and will chime in. But heck I say go for it I am all for re engineering older clubs for modern play unless they are a pristine collectors item or have sentimental value like my CF-4000s Good Luck with whatever you choose to do. thought I would throw my .02 in for what it is worth

mgavin-

If the 8 iron to this Wilson Johnny Miller Top Notch iron set has a "flathead", then it's the store line model of the '76 "Staff" iron grind.

Charley Penna has stated what MacGregor did to distinguish between the professional line a sporting goods store line.

The "TOP NOTCH" designation was with Wilson clubs for at least 25 years.

+1 with Stu on re-shafting one to play with.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
