anyone rocking the 46* as a pitching wedge instead of the PW that came with their set? See any distance loss? I like the theory of all wedges being the same. Running the JPX 900 Forged so would have it bent to 45*. Thoughts?

I had a 48* which was the same as my ap2 pw and I did notice a bit of a distance loss, I think it was spinning more and I couldn't control traj as well.

 

Edit: That was sm5 though not sm6, and the loss was only ~4 yards

 

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not too concerned with 3 yards. I would be more concerned with something like 10+.

Yea the stock yardage was only a little shorter, I couldn't get much more out of it if I wanted to hammer it though

Striped my new SM6 Raw Black wedges (46.08F, 50.12F, 54.14F, 58.08M) this afternoon, took about 2 hours total using distilled white vinegar and green Scotch-Bright pads. The paint fill remains intact and the final finish IMO is perfect. I don't really care if they rust I just like the dull non-glare lighter finish.

To those who have stripped the black finish off the SM6, did the milling or surface roughness get affected? Worried that scrubbing the face with the scotch brite pad would remove some or all of the milling and roughness.
