EDIT: Thanks to all the help I got in this thread, I refinished my laguna, and I think it looks great. I will post the pics of the refinish and leave the original pics aswell. The putter was topped off with a pink dual durometer grip to give it some flair. Thanks GolfWRX

You shouldn't have any problems. That's a carbon steel head. Go over the whole putter with some 000 steel wool to prep the surface, go over it quickly with some acetone to make sure there is no surface residue, then use a cottonball with some birchwood casey gun blue and it should work perfectly. They also have this kit which works really really well:

I've gun blued several Scottys, and I've always got much better results with the Birchwood paste rather than the liquid.

 

It seems to go on better for some reason.

That paste does work pretty well. I always end up with blue fingers at the end. LOL

The longest lasting finish, but slower to darken than the liquid blues. Easy-to-use, PERMA BLUE Paste Gun Blue reacts slowly with the metal but builds up a denser finish that will outlast the liquid blues. Excellent for touch-up or complete reblueing. Metal must be clean and free of rust (like the liquid blues) and sealed with BARRICADE Rust Protection to enhance and protect the finish. A dark blue color may require three or more applications of PERMA BLUE Paste but each coat takes only 30 to 60 seconds to work. Complete instructions on each tube. Apply with swab or “Q-tip.”

Having a completely clean putter head when you start the bluing process is a must. Any fingerprints will spoil the finish. Be sure to follow the directions precisely.

Thanks for the help guys, I really wanna do a good job on this one. Is it the steel wool that gives it the shiny finish? i think that is what i missed last time.
