The Links at Outlook

Has anyone played this course this year? How is the condition? I've never played but will be Saturday. Good range? Anything I should know?

fun course, played it a few years while on vacation. Front 9 and back very different. Front is links style and back is tree lined, a few holes I remember have elevation changes.

Agree with above poster. First nine links winding mostly downhill. #9 is flat tee shot then green around 50-60 ft. above you. Need to add three clubs. Back nine up and down with a lot of elevation changes. #17 great par 5 slight downhill tee shot then blind second shot severely downhill. Have to ring a bell when done. You'll have a good time great fun course.

Excellent range. Clubhouse sits even with road but atop a hill overlooking course.

Played it earlier this year and it was in good shape.... Nice course but takes a few times to really get a feel for it due to the many blind tee shots.... Like the others said front 9 is links style is back 9 is more traditional tree lined. I enjoy playing it

As people have stated, front nine is "links" style to a degree - back nine you cross the road and play on a hill. I'm not a big fan of the contrast in nines, and the back nine isn't particularly appealing.

In that area, I would play Ledges over Links at Outlook 100 times out of 100.

I would play Ledges or even The Oaks over Links at Outlook as well but it's a nice change of pace every once in a while.

+1. I LOVE the Oaks, I rank that as a top 3 best public course in N.E., that layout just fit my eye to a tee. I also really love Ledges. LOA is a fun course but not one you run too.

I really want to play The Ledges as well. We have a 50% off coupon for The Links though, which is why we are playing there. Still looking forward to it.

Fun course, was in great shape when I played there. The Ledges, Old Marsh, and Outlook should be on the list for York county

Agree with Ledges and Outlook - but can't say I ever plan on going back to 'Old Marsh'. But that's me :-)

The Ledges doesn't deserve to be lumped in with Old Marsh and Links at Outlook, it's just so far above them.
