Club Corp - Austin Tx

Looks like I am relocating for work to Austin Tx. I am currently a club corp member at one of their "better" courses and considering my options for transferring to Austin. It looks like Lost Creek CC and The Hills CC are my options to transfer. Does anyone know what initiation and monthly dues are at these two clubs? I have played The Hills and Flintrock Falls and both are really nice courses. FTW my current club dues are about $800/mo when I add in the club corp ONE and taxes.

Club Corp sucks...do your self a favor and chalk up the loss and find a private club that actually puts money back into the club.

Looking for "constructive" information here. I carry national membership at a top 25 course so I know what quality looks like. I know The Hills is one of the best courses in Austin (save Austin CC & "maybe" Barton). Yes some CC courses suck and are definitely in need of upgrade as they have a lot of low end bargain basement stuff.

My brother-in-law recently won the club championship at Lost Creek, so I may be a bit biased there vs the Hills since I've played it quite a bit more. Lost Creek is the type of course that quietly sneaks up to bite you in the a**. At first glance, you'll see a lot of wide fairways and large greens but there are quite a few holes that require absolute precision to earn a par.

Playing there a few times per year, I haven't encountered any part of the course in "poor" shape by any means. I also love the snack stand near the 1st/10th tees + 9th green. Any place that has hot breakfast tacos available next to the tee box is alright by me!

All that being said, their facilities could use a bit of updating as the clubhouse feels dated on the inside. The 19th hole and locker rooms are in good shape but the decor and furniture could use a refresh to provide additional visual appeal.

Have you moved yet?

If you are still looking, The Hills is better than Lost Creek by a very wide margin. I've played it many times and it's a layout that you would never get bored with.
