Which shaft to choose?

I don't know

I am about to change my driver and I don't know what shaft to get with it. I don't know that much about shafts and any help would be much appreciated. My Swing Speed is 114MPH. I currently have a fairly high ball flight. My current shat is the Grafalloy Blue S. I would like a slight lower ball flight. I also don't as many fairways as i should and i would like to hit more. If anybody has any suggestions on what shafts would suit me would be most appreciated.

Before I get to the shaft, I little about the head you have. The 905s is a lower spin driver than your 905t so that alone will lower your ball flight because of lower spin. As far a shafts go, you need one that has a high kick point like the blue you have already, you just need a stiffer flex (X). If you can find that combo on the web you're done (905S with blue X-flex. If you want to keep your current head you may not get as much distance as the 905s combo but your trajectory will be lower with most higher-end shafts. Go to Golfsmith.com and they have the trajectories of all of their shafts. (lo/mid/hi) You'll proabably want a 75 gram or higher shaft also as they will be the most stiff compared to the lighter shafts and you should be able to control it better (find more fairways). I won't go into specific shafts because I don't know what your budget is but you'll notice some of them being used on tour whose average swing speed it where yours is. Hope this helps.

Take the time to find a good fitter, you can also talk to Joe K on this board if you're interested in a fitting, he's the best in the biz.

Everything needs to be considered, your swing mechanics, course conditions, desired ball flight, etc.

There are just too many choices and too many options, and the information you've provided here isn't enough to fit you into a shaft. Get fit, if you don't, you're playing roulette and wasting money.
