TPC Eagle Trace

Visiting Fort Lauderdale the last week in January for business. Public course options look really limited within a 30-40 minute drive. Anyone have any experience with TPC Eagle Trace? Other suggestions? Is Fort Lauderdale CC a decent play at 200.00?

If I only had time to play one round, which would you play among Jacaranda, Plantation Preserve, or TPC Eagle Trace. This round will be at the end of April, just planning ahead. Thanks

I'm going to be in the same area next month with the in-laws. Staying Mon-Friday in Pompano Beach, looking to get in 2 rounds? From looking around here and wanting to stay within 30-40 min. Looks like a couple options are:

Jacaranda, TPC Eagle Trace, Plantation Preserve, Emerald Hills

Any others? And which 2 do I play? I like great conditioned courses with character, don't mind spending $$. Please some input would be very helpful!

Played Jacaranda lest year and aside from seeing Wes Welker there I was not impressed maybe it has changed but the green had a lot of rot and mold and tee boxes were awful. But again that was last winter. Heard good things about the Plantation tho

Also Osprey Pointe in Boca is a public track that I always hear huge compliments on especially about the course condition. Under $75 too!

Second this. One of the few public courses in SoFla that doesn't wind through a subdivision...no houses on the course.

That being said, it is in Boca so you will get your share of seniors but I do remember a younger crowd there too. There's a high school right around the corner that uses the course for practice too......kind of hard to avoid seniors in SoFla, though. Like someone said earlier...summer after noon is the best time to play golf, if you can deal with the heat. Snow birds are gone and the local seniors don't play in the heat.
