East Lake - playing

Myself and two other members from our local club are flying into ATL Nov 5 ... Long shot, but anyone know if it's possible to get on East Lake?

I don't think East Lake is that impossible to get on - the "corporate" nature of the membership makes it a bit more commercial. Have your pro make the call.

Not sure what is going on that weekend, but they will be coming off about 4-5 days where the club will be closed to play due to the East Lake Cup being played. It's not a hard course to get on normally if you are willing to pay the rate plus caddie fees. I just don't know how booked they will be with coming off that event. Worth making a call though.

Super busy that time of year, have a pga pro put in a call for you.

The course will be amazing that time of year. No matter what you're told, tip your caddies.

Pretty sure it's $225-275 per player (member sponsored) and then $100 caddie tip.

 

One player in the group has to our down the credit card and everything goes on it for the day. Golf, food, etc. you get invoiced a couple days later.

 

Have done it a couple times. It's fun but overrated IMO

I played it several years ago. There are a lot better courses in the Atlanta area.

I think you're about right on the green fees, I'm pretty sure that includes caddie bag rates though. Approx $50 per bag tip for the caddie is about average and not included.

 

In my opinion it is the 2nd best course in Atlanta. .by a large margin, and it's not likely you can get on the best.

 

As mentioned earlier, the course will be in amazing condition in early November.

The fairways and greens will be in good shape, but the areas where the grandstands sat will be in rough shape and just treat them as GUR. It's a fun course to play with tons of history. Once you get past Peachtree, the list for second best course in the area is really just personal preference.
