What to do with them

Some handicap questions.

If I play 14-holes plus and it's not a "practice round" (i.e., working on different shots, playing mutliple balls, etc) I invariably put my scores in. Of the GHIN-posted scores over the last two years, this means a range of everything from 86-100, resulting in an index of 13.9.

I've got a bunch of scores from 82 - 100 over the last six months that I have not been able to put in. Most of those were carded in Fla., I tried to post 'em online but they never got picked up by my local association (Mass.) apparently. Probably 3-4 of four rounds in the mid-80's included. Similarly, I just shot an 85 down in Maryland but cannot post because GHIN.com does not recognize the course.

What are you suposed to do with these "off the grid" scores in the GHIN system? My index is a 13.9, obviously being short a couple of 82, 83, 84 rounds (esp. where I have shot several 90-ish rounds this year at home that I have posted) is dragging my handicap up a little. And the higher end scores (a couple of 86's to 100's that have not been posted) would make no difference as they would probably get thrown out. I really do not want to go into a tournament and shoot an 82 where the lowest score on my GHIN right now is an 86.

How is this dealt with?

 

There's no such thing as "off the grid" or "out of section" or any other crap like that. Just enter your scores with your adjusted score, course rating, and slope. Everything will take care of itself.

 

As far as "not counting", they ALL count. The score might not be included in the handicap calculation, but when you enter 1 score, you're rolling off the 20th score, which MAY have been included in the handicap calculation.
