We have a regular scratch tournament every Saturday at my home course. There are some heavy hitters , touring pro's and local pro's. We throw in 40 bucks and go for it w/ no handicaps. Usually play in 3 man teams - 2 best scores but if all three birdie , eagle , etc , all count. Long story short shot 36/44 - I missed one fairway and still amazed that I could butcher up a great round of golf. Who else played and does anybody have a regular format like ours?

My home course has a scratch skins game every Monday, attended by local pros and amateurs. I was out one Monday just practicing on the putting green and was asked by a pro I'd met recently if I wanted to join them. I think he knew I'd only been playing less than 2 years and figured I'd sweeten the skins pot :).

Although it was my 1st time playing this course from the tips, I shot my one and only ace that day along with making a 30-foot putt for birdie on another hole to win almost the entire pot. I bought a couple rounds of drinks for the group after the round w/ my winnings.

Ya i play in whats called the Game at my course. there are 5 games, KP's Gross skins, net skins, gross total, and net total. Minimum of three games, so its $30. On a good day you can walk away with $120. Same thing though. There will be some touring pros, and every week there will be some Nationwide pros. Really fun though.

On Fridays, I play in my men's club tournament - $20/each, blind draw, best ball, medal., etc... At the beginning of the year, almost 300 men put $10/each for hole in one contest. I started playing last year and was part of the pool, however nobody got one. So this season gets started and what do I do - ace one on the opening day! Sweet, I mean, skulled 9i from 160 or so... :) You can do the math - I got all of last years money and if nobody gets another HIO the rest of the year, I'll get the full amount for this year as well :russian_roulette:

Just played in a scratch and sniff tournament...my first. Pretty silly and damned disgusting. I was disqualified at the first hole, but hey, I am not shaking anyone's hand after he's done a swipe down below.
