Before all of you die-hards and low-handicappers torch me, let me remind you, YOU GOTTA START SOMEWHERE.

And it's places like this that can prepare golfers and give them the fundamentals they need before they tee off ahead of you at a par 72 on a busy weekend, slowing the pace to a crawl at best.

This place is awesome for a beginner, and for anyone looking for a quick round to practice short game shot-making.
It's right on the beach- you actually enter the GC from the boardwalk. It's less than $20 and you don't need a tee-time. The fairways and green/hole locations are pretty straightforward and unless you're along the fence-lines it's VERY hard to lose a ball. There are vending machines but as far as nourishment, bring your own stuff!

The holes range from 50-130 yards, and the longest is a par 3/4 150 yard 11th hole.
You tee-up off of mats, which isn't the greatest but it's better for hackers and course maintenance.
There are a few bunkers, but overall not many hazards to get beginners too frustrated. The staff interaction is minimal, but the regulars are pretty nice, and everyone understands that it's a place to learn. Nobody here takes themselves or the game too seriously, and like I already said, it's the perfect place for a newbie to get their feet wet.
