Overcoming weaking of the lower back

Now this is painful....

Helo all....

I was a bad slicer when I first started and reigned in a consistent fade that was working quite well. I had my scores coming down and only lacked a decent game from the tees. I have fallen prey to a psyiatic nerve problem following a car accident a few years ago.

I'm having a rough time making consistent contact again. I feel restricted on my followthru and cannot make flush contact. I heard I was coming in really steep and am now dipping more than bag of nachos. No pun intended but I'm embarassed to swing right now. I am used to hitting my 7iron 150 with great consistency and my short game is a plus as well.

How do I solve this puzzle?

I can definitely relate. Was just in a car accident on 6/29. Hit a deer on the freeway going 70mph. Totalled the mini van. Luckily my wife and 2 kids went unharmed. I on the other hand re-aggravated my lower back problem and added the neck and upper back to it all.

 

I'm 42 and have more aches and pains than I can think of. 2 torn achilles, torn acl right knee and torn cartilage left knee, bad elbows and shoulders from 30 years of competitve tennis and a bad lower back from golf and basketball.

Had a bad back for some years "playing full contact Hockey" shouldn't have! and working 9 to 5. Forget the Chiropractor and get a MRI ... you mostlikely have a ruptured disc. Mine was L5s1 and the only thing I wished was I had surgery earlier on my back.

 

Rest and ICE will be the only cure for now!!! frozen veggies out of the freezer work GREAT they mold right to u r back. If your primary care will not get you an MRI go to another ...the insurance company will take the risk because they do not want to pay!!

 

They will wait it out until they are forced to pay... sorry that's the truth they are in business to make $$$$

 

DON"T LET THEM SCARE OUT OF IT!!!! of the MRI or repairing the disc!!

 

REST don't pick up a club you will get into BAD HABITS !!! do not swing a club past your knees!!!!!

The majority of my back problems stem from a car accident, which knocked my lumbars out of whack, which then severely aggravated my iliopsoas group.

 

Do some searches for "psoas stretch" or "hip flexor stretch" on google.

 

Buy a yoga mat and a stability ball and work on strengthening the area. Using pain meds is fine, but they shouldn't usurp physical therapy.

Check out A.R.T. It is actual physical therapy performed by chiropractors. It involves moving your limbs or trunk while the therapist applies manual pressure to trigger points. This will reduce or eliminate scar tissue that has building up over time preventing your muscles from sliding smoothly over each other.
