Anyone played here recently? Wondering about the conditions as I've heard it may not be in the greatest of shape. Trying to choose between here and Plantation Preserve

No good. Owned by ClubLink, let conditions go to hell, lost their TPC affiliation, and cater primarily to Canadian snowbirds at the expense of their full-time local members. Very disappointing and many members have left or are leaving for other private clubs.

What would the answer be if he was looking for a membership? I'm looking for a new club to join and was considering Eagle Trace, but had concerns that you confirmed above.

I think the two most viable true private club options are Ft. Lauderdale CC and Lago Mar. Eagle Trace has really gone down hill. Herron Bay is a complete disaster. Country Club of Coral Springs has no real clubhouse (modular trailer), has public play, and the course has been shortened, though the greens are good. Deer Creek might be an option or Adios (men only) if you can get in and afford it. You have to live in the community to join Parkland. It's amazing to me that there are not more good private club options in that area.

Sad to read

Playing there next week again when the Masters is on. It has definitely slipped since CL has taken over .. most notably the greens. (we are CL members)

it's a shame because it is a heck of a layout (except for 9 and 18 imo)

my buddy played there last week

said his only complaint was the bunkers. Greens were "fast and true". Fairways fine

It's more attention to detail stuff and value for dues. My aunt and uncle were members for a number of years and recently left after several years of frustration. Greens SHOULD be good this time of year as it's peak season and the weather has been favorable.

Thanks for the reply. I live in Coral Springs and work in Plantation and currently a member at Carolina Club, but their greens need a lot of work, so will probably look elsewhere after this year. I've been contemplating Lago Mar, but I have no idea how much it would be for me and my wife. I'd like to keep it under $12k, so I'll probably be forced to go semi-private again.
