Swing Question...

Ok, yesterday I was at Golf Galaxy just killing time hitting clubs and such...well, I noticed one thing.. I was hitting the 3wd off the deck further than the driver off the tee! WTF is that about!

 

I was hitting a TM TP 3wd and hitting it about 265-255 on average, but I also hit a FT-5 and it just didn't go anywhere! Swing speed was in the 105+ with the driver and about 100+ with the 3wd. Since I've changed to the TM SQ I've noticed my distance has decreased and it's really really aggrivating.

 

What's the deal? Also, I'M SO SOLD ON THE TM TP 3WD IT'S DISGUSTING! LOL

I have the 13* TS and quite often hit it further than my driver. It's easier to hit the sweet spot for one and it's not as affected by my relatively steep angle of attack. I've had bad days with the driver where I'm shortest in my group for half the round. I break out my TS and I'm 10yds. longer than everyone. When the driver is on though it's 15-20yds. longer. I also had the Superquad and recently got rid of it for the BurnerTP. I was losing it left too often and screwing around with my grip too much. I feel much more comfortable with the Burner and getting better results.

 

I'd recommend picking up some impact tape. I use to color in a spot on the ball with a sharpie at the range, leaves an ink mark on the driver face. I found I was inside of center a lot and my miss was always right. I know adress the ball almost off the toe, sorta like ZJ does. Now I lose it right way less often, extend through impact, find dead center more often and hit longer, straighter drives.
