Golf around Greeley, CO

Hey guys,

I'm coming to visit a buddy of mine and we are trying to decide on courses to play. We are definitely going to play Highland hills because that is the course that my buddy grew up playing but I'd like to mix in some higher end courses as well. Can you guys help me out?

Andrew will be able to help you much more than me since he's from there and I'm just a regular visitor,but I'll add what I know.

I like Highland hills, my type of course. The other public is Boomerang, on which I've only played the front. Just ok to me.

Greeley CC is private and that's basically it. Higher end is going to be difficult to find in public. I would say the best two public s in the immediate area are Collindale in Fort Collins (US Openqualifier I believe) and Mariana Butte in Loveland. It's a nice course, and maybe a bit higher end.

I think there are several nice privates, but the only one I've played is Fort Collins CC.

well that stinks lol I didn't want to fly from az to play average courses. My buddies parents are members of a private club up there called Eaton Country Club. Have you played there?

Sorry, I haven't. But if you have some private connections I've heard the privates are pretty good. Harmony, Ptarmigan, Fort Collins CC.

I do think Mariana Butte is above average. Also, being in Greeley, you're only an hour away from north Denver. Riverdale Dunes (I think Fore Life played there and liked it) and Colorado National might be doable.

My wife is from Eaton and they have big skins game on Thursday if your going to be here then... If I was going to play anywhere is this area I would play Colindale or Riverdale Dunes or go play Colorado National. Imo Eaton CC isn't bad just depends on how it will be after that big skins game.
