Can we talk about Spencer Levin chasing cash?

I found this really interesting. I don't at all think it's any sort of referendum on any one vendor.

Rather- I see it more as how big a gamble that next tier of players go through when they opt for club contracts.

Discuss?

pros are like any of us....only much, much better at golf. Some of them handle change better than others. No different than the guy at your club who can change clubs in between club championship rounds and be fine, or the guy who play 10yr old steelhead x14 irons and refuses to look at anything else.

This was an interesting read to me as well. I honeslty hadn't seen much of Spencer earlier this to even know he went to Callaway. When we went to the Byron he had older TaylorMade irons in (R9 TP).

I like this guy. I followed him a few times at the Shriners in Summerlin for a couple years.. He's fiery and can get a little looney at times but I always root for the guys who don't bomb it, they are fun to watch for me. Interesting that even guys at this level can struggle with a certain manufacturers offerings. I wonder if this was the case for Rory as well, maybe some other guys out there that took the money. Cant blame them really. Hoping Spencer turns it around!

Spencer shared a very humbling experience. My guess is that MANY of us would have gone the same route had we been in his situation. His testimony goes to show that no matter how much talent you have - you cannot buy a game. He paid the price and I hope he makes it back to the big stage soon.
