Ping Hoofer Ball Pocket Customization

I bought a new Ping Hoofer and want to get my name embroidered on the ball pocket and I want it done by Ping. I made the mistake in the past having a local shop do it and it looked horrible.

I know that I can completely detach the ball pocket but does anyone know if I am supposed to send it into Ping for them to do embroider, or would I get in touch with Ping to have them embroider me a new one and send it to me?

I ordered a custom embroidered pocket for a Ping bag at Golfsmith a few years ago. I also had Ping so custom work on a putter and contacted them directly. I can probably go either route.

So that's why you can totally unzip the ball pocket...to send it to get embroidered?

By the way, this year's Hoofer is incredible. It's about as perfect of a light stand bag as you can have.

You can also bring it to any local embroidery place. Ive had a couple bags done locally with more advanced options than bag manufactures offer and most are same day service.

I'm wondering if a spare panel could be for sale somewhere? It would be really cool to have a few with different logo's/designs on them and be able to swap them out if a new look is desired. Is the five finger discount the only way to get your hands on a spare? LOL

I’m going to go with a big no on that one. You can order them through Ping. I’ve done it multiple times. Just go to your local golf store and tell them what color you want.

I bought faux leather swatches for about $2-3 dollars a sheet 8x11. The ykk vislon #5 zipper at 32 inches exactly can be had off amazon in a 3 pack for 12. A local cobbler who does luggage, jacket and shoe repair said he could make me one for 25/piece. I may getting a duplicate white one, black alligator, yellow ostrich and lime green ostrich ones made up. I plan on taking original into an embroidery place to get a logo I designed added.
