Hello friends,

My name is David. I'm from Frisco, just north of Dallas. I'm 34 years old and played my first round of golf this past November. I never thought I'd have any interest in golf, as I was obsessed with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. After years of BJJ with football and baseball from a young age through high school prior to, injuries mounted. I had 50% of my meniscus removed from my right knee which effectively killed Jiu Jitsu from being possible going forward. A friend of mine had been begging me to play, I finally gave in and loved it.

I bought some TM Aeroburners off the rack and because of Texas weather, was able to get a few rounds in. In February I started taking lessons at Hank Haney's golf ranch in order to get all of the baseball out of my swing. I was also fitted with clubs for my size 6'3 260. I received my M4's a few weeks ago and have been at the range 2 times a week. Yesterday I played my first round in which I was able to get the ball from the tee to the cup. Tomorrow I'm going to play in 38 degree weather with a stiff wind. The conditions are going to be terrible, I'm going to be bad, but I'll have a lot of fun doing it. I plan on being a very active member and using this forum as a way to chronicle my growth with this game. Cheers.

I visited Frisco for a bank training. I don't remember which course I played, but it was exhausting in the heat and humidity in July. Welcome to the site!
