NEW NIKE IC PUTTERS

I will wait until I try and roll one. I guess they could have gone everyone elses (OEM or custom) route and copied an Anser, with over the top cobby CNC markings normally reserved for agricultural machinery from the former Soviet Union

Wow is this Tom Stites design for Tigers back up putter. I will literally fall out of my chair laughing if I EVER see this on the PGA level getting play. I'm even embarrassed for Nike golf if this ever makes it to market. PR overtime!!!

Thank you nikewalt for a post that wasn't the Norm for Nike threads.......maybe your "name" has something to do with it but................

First of all, I hardly think Tiger was in Tom Stites and Adam Reichow/ Global Research Director of Vision Science minds when the IC putters were designed. I had seen these putters a while ago and also watched the video now on Nike's site and actually was fascinated by the amount of science that went into the design. From the design of the sightlines to the color of the putter, they thought it all out before just copying some other time tested putter. Sure we all can jump on the bandwagon and say Nike sucks and ICky and all the rest of the usual responses that Nike gets when they unveil something new but if everyone could step back for a moment and think before jumping on the bashwagon. Just look at the amount of square headed maxed out MOI drivers coming out.

I have a few favorites in clubs, styles and brands but the one thing I've always done no matter what is go into every club with an open mind and try it before just judging it on first glance. I'm not ashamed to say I've purchased and used Nike Pro Combo's, NDS, CCI, wedges, Ignite, Sumo2, OZ T100, Unitized Tiempo. Sure you can say I'm not playing them anymore but there's a few hundred clubs I've tried in the last five years that aren't in there as well.

Just this past weekend I was rolling the IC2020 for about a half hour. I found it very intriguing that what they said in the video really did work while the putter was in my hands. The green color wasn't the "normal" thing but it did help in making the sight lines POP. The color also helped to mute the visual size of the putterhead. I can only imagine how well it would work on real grass. The putter was very easy to align, had good weight and balance and actually had a pretty good feel at impact. Will I get it soon? No idea but I haven't ruled it out.

If you think science and tech is ugly and stupid...just try looking at one of the original Redwood City putters that Karsten made. We look at him like a genius today....but I'm sure he drew a large crowd of doubters when he first came out.

Something new no from Nike hmmm..... not here look at eBay component putters that have the same look before IC putters and for the square headed MOI drivers hmmm...... not here either Accuform Whistler driver was first to produce high MOI square driver Accuform since then went belly up and would say it dates back to the mid 90s same designer different company. My spin on IC stands for [b]I[/b]nspired [b]C[/b]omponent.
